Uttarakhand / Vikas Nagar : Loader driver arrested with 19 boxes of English liquor

Vikas Nagar market outpost police arrested the loader driver with 19 boxes of English liquor. The police have registered a case against the accused under the Excise Act. The loader has been seized by the police. On Tuesday late night, the market outpost police was patrolling on Canal Road. During this, the informer informed the police about liquor smuggling. Police started search operation of vehicles near a farm house on Canal Road. A loader had a tarpaulin lying in the back during the operation. On lifting it, 19 boxes of different brands of English liquor were recovered under the tarpaulin in the loader. Police has arrested the accused loader driver Sanjay Joshi son Prem Dutt Joshi resident of village Sujeu Tehsil police station Chakrata. Kotwal Pradeep Bisht told that the accused is being presented in the court. The police team included outpost in-charge Arjun Singh, constable Trapan Singh, Kapil Rawat, Monu Chauhan and Mohan etc.
