Uttar Pradesh / Unnao : The IAS officer who beat up the journalist reconciled
Chief Development Officer (CDO) Divyanshu Patel has finally settled with the video journalist who was allegedly thrashed during the panchayat elections here. Journalist Krishna Tiwari and officials were also seen feeding sweets to each other. A photo of it has also gone viral on social media.
Journalist Krishna Tiwari said the officer had inadvertently hit him due to some confusion and apologized for his deed.
“The officer also spoke to my family members and expressed regret over the act,” the journalist said.
On Saturday, during the voting for the block chief in Unnao’s Miyaganj block, the CDO was caught on camera assaulting a video journalist. Later, journalists protested.
