In protest against the inclusion of BJP MLA Suresh Rathore, who is facing investigation in the allegations of rape, in the Chief Minister’s Ganga worship and milk ceremony, former state Congress vice president and central chief patron of the identified state agitational joint committee Dhirendra Pratap on Harki Paidi. The Chief Minister should immediately apologize to the people of the state for including MLA Suresh Rathore, who is facing rape charges, in the Ganga worship program. Dhirendra Pratap said that in the BJP government doing politics of religion, instead of sending the accused of rape to jail, they are honored and obliged in public programs. He said that the accused in the Kovid test scam in Kumbh have not been arrested yet. Strict action should be taken immediately against the officials who are endangering the lives of people by doing fake Kovid tests. Terming the campaign of Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal as a hoax, he said that in Uttarakhand, not the Kejriwal model, the Harish Rawat model will work in Uttarakhand. SP Singh Engineer said that people who insult Mother Shakti and Mother Ganga should be boycotted. But the BJP leadership is busy rewarding him. Unemployment and corruption are at its peak in the state. Development has come to a complete standstill. But the government is not ready to take any step in the interest of the people. MLA Suresh Rathore has not been able to get any work done in the assembly constituency. The people of Jwalapur assembly are deprived of basic facilities like electricity, water, roads. He said that a demand has also been made to include Jwalapur in the Kumbh region. But the demands of the people were not accepted by the Central Government and the State Government. CP Singh said that every section is troubled in the BJP government. Due to rising unemployment and skyrocketing inflation, the poor, laborers, middle class are very upset. But instead of giving any relief, the government is bent on making the lives of the troubled people more painful by increasing the prices of petrol, diesel, cooking gas. He said that the people troubled by the policies of the BJP are sitting ready to teach them a lesson in the assembly elections. Convener of the identified State Agitators Joint Committee, Manish Kumar said that the state agitators are agitating on the streets in protest against the abolition of facilities. He said that on July 14, thousands of agitators from across the state under the leadership of Dhirendra Pratap, Ravindra Jugran and other leaders would gherao the Raj Bhavan.
