Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : Car rider arrested with 17 boxes of liquor
The Kotwali police has arrested an accused with 17 boxes of liquor being brought from the car. The car was seized by registering a case under the relevant section. According to the Kotwali police, in the early hours of Monday, the police team stopped a car driver near Yognagri railway station during checking. On searching inside the car, 17 boxes of English liquor were recovered. Kotwal Shishupal Singh Negi said that the accused has been identified as Rakesh Singh Bhandari son of Kundan Singh Bhandari resident of Baljeet Farm, Khadri, Shyampur, Rishikesh. In the police interrogation, the accused told that he has been in the hands of Munikireti police in the past also in connection with the supply of liquor.
One arrest with 48 pave: Police have caught Sandeep Sahni alias Mosquito son Lal Bahadur from near Chandeshwarnagar. 48 paves of English liquor have been recovered from him. The police have registered a case against the accused under the Excise Act.
