Uttar Pradesh : Speculation of Shivpal contesting from Gunnaur assembly seat intensified

Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle and Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PrSP) chief Shivpal Singh Yadav may try his luck from the Yadav-dominated Gunnaur seat of Sambhal district in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

In fact, in a poster released here, Shivpal Singh Yadav is seen seeking blessings from the people of Gunnaur, which has intensified speculation that he will contest from this seat. In the poster, it has been clearly written on behalf of Shivpal Singh that as Netaji got blessings in the year 2004, in the same way he wishes for his blessings.

It is written in the poster, as you know very well that we have a family relationship with Gunnaur. In the 2004 assembly by-election, Netaji was given a chance to lead. In view of the people’s aspirations of the people of Gunnaur assembly, we have decided to contest the assembly elections from Gunnaur in 2022. Hope. You will keep our respect.

Shivpal Singh Yadav is also telling about his association with the people of Gunnaur. Shivpal is also referring to his family relationship since 2004. Now in such a situation, the question arises whether Shivpal will contest the assembly elections from his traditional seat Jaswantnagar or not. His son Aditya Yadav can contest from Jaswantnagar seat in place of Shivpal.

Since 1996, Shivpal Singh Yadav has been winning elections from Jaswantnagar assembly seat of Etawah district. Jaswantnagar assembly seat is considered to be the traditional seat of the Mulayam family. The question definitely arises on whether the viral poster is official or not. Gunnaur Vidhan Sabha is a Yadav majority assembly seat. Presently this seat is the MLA of BJP’s Ajit Kumar Raju.

In 2007, SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav contested from Gunnaur assembly 111 seat, he got victory and got 54696 votes. If you believe the words of effective leaders from the PSP of Jaswantnagar area, then Shivpal Singh Yadav can field his son Aditya in his place, so Aditya’s activism remains constant.

Shivpal Singh Yadav has also announced his representatives on the four block heads coming in the Jaswantnagar assembly on Monday. Former block chief Anuj Yadav has been made his representative from Jaswantnagar block, while his nearest district panchayat member Dr. Arvind Yadav has been made representative from Saifai block. Similarly, he has made his brother-in-law Dr. Anjat Singh as his representative from Basrehar block while his very close Dhruv Kumar Yadav has been made his representative from Takha.

In the name of CDO of Etawah on Monday, a letter written by Shivpal Singh Yadav about the representatives was publicized in the afternoon. It was only after being made a representative that the discussions about Aditya Yadav contesting from Jaswantnagar had gained momentum that suddenly Shivpal Singh Yadav contesting from Gunnaur has also come to the fore.

By the way, Shivpal’s nephew SP chief Akhilesh had talked about leaving Jaswantnagar assembly seat in Etawah district for uncle Shivpal. Akhilesh Yadav had also said that there will be an alliance with his party, the party will not merge, but now it seems that a picture of a new political mood will appear.
