Karnataka Police to probe Udupi NRI woman murder case
Udupi Police has formed four special teams to bust the murder of a woman who had recently returned from Dubai. The murder in a private apartment in Kumbragodu, near Bramhavar, shook the coastal town.
Vishala Ganiga, 35, was strangled to death with a wire on July 12. Vishal had returned from Dubai with her daughter on June 30. She was living with her parents in Udupi.
Last week, Vishal told her parents that she would visit their apartment in Brahmavar and come back after finishing some work in a bank. The incident came to light when the father went to check the apartment after the daughter did not return home.
It is suspected that the murder took place over a financial issue. The police have seized the CCTV footage. His gold ornaments and cash were found missing from the apartment.
