Kerela / Thiruvananthapuram : Four laborers died in the grip of poisonous gas

Four laborers died of suffocation after inhaling poisonous gas inside a well at Kundara in Kollam district in Kerala.
According to the information received, two persons had entered the well to clean the well and they immediately became unconscious. Later, two other persons who had descended into the well to save both of them also fainted. Local people informed the fire brigade to rescue the victims. Three of them died on the spot while the fourth person succumbed to his injuries on the way to a nearby hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Somarajan (53), Rajan (36), Manoj (34) and Sivaprasad (24). Police has registered a case and is taking necessary action.
