Young Indori wrestlers take inspiration from the struggling life of eminent sportspersons going to Tokyo Olympics : Kripashankar

Arjuna Awardee Kripashankar Pehelwan has advised young Indori wrestlers to draw inspiration from the hard-working personality and struggling life of the eminent sportspersons who went to the Tokyo Olympics. Kripashankar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a virtual meeting and interacted online with many players of the country. A large number of wrestling and gymnastics players had come to see the virtual meeting on the big screen at the wrestling center of Sports Authority of India, Malhar Ashram, Indore. The event was played live on the big screen at the Malhar Ashram wrestling hall. To encourage the young wrestlers in the program, famous wrestler Kripashankar Bishnoi, Arjuna Awardee of Indore was present as the chief guest. Sports Authority of India wrestling coach, international wrestler Sarwar Mansoori and gymnastics coach honored Kripashankar Bishnoi with a bouquet. During this, while addressing the wrestlers, Kripashankar said that we should learn from our senior and good players.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave us an opportunity to listen to the views of our champion players through this virtual meeting. Wrestler Kripashankar further said that this is the first time in the history of the game, when the Prime Minister of India held a virtual meeting and interacted with the country’s eminent sportspersons online and gave a chance to every Indian and young players to listen to it. A total of 126 athletes from India will travel to Tokyo for 18 sports. This is the largest contingent ever to be sent from India at any Olympics. He said that this would be the first time that India would participate in such a large number of different events in different sports. In the end, Wrestler Kripashankar thanked Shri Modi and advised the young wrestlers present to take inspiration from the hardworking personality and struggling life of the eminent sportspersons who went to Tokyo Olympics.

Kripashankar appreciated and thanked former Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs and current Law Minister Kiren Rijiju who was a fitness fan and a good sportsman from school days, who after many years of hard work and playing a pivotal role has helped India become one of the most successful sportspersons in the world. The big team prepared to go to the Olympics. Just before the Olympics, he became the new Law Minister of the country from Sports Minister. He also said that Rijiju’s love, passion and passion for sports is such that he is now motivating all Indians along with encouraging the Indian athletes participating in the Olympics.
