Income Tax Department raid on the offices of media group Dainik Bhaskar, action taken on the information of tax evasion

Several offices of Dainik Bhaskar Group are being raided by the Income Tax Department across the country. Sources have given this information. Officials have searched Dainik Bhaskar’s premises in New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Income Tax officials told the media that raids have been conducted at several premises of media group Dainik Bhaskar located in Bhopal, Jaipur and other places. Sources said that raids are being conducted on the offices of newspapers in Indore as well as in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Apart from these, Income Tax Department officials are also searching the residence of the promoters of the newspaper group. Sources in the Income Tax Department say that these raids are being conducted after the group reported tax evasion. Dainik Bhaskar Group is one of the largest media conglomerate in the country with more than 60 editions published in more than a dozen states in different languages. It is headquartered in Madhya Pradesh.
