Shefali Shah turns director of short film Happy Birthday Mummy Ji

Shefali Shah seems to be preparing to establish her feet in the directorial world as well. Shefali, who has directed a short film, is now coming up with another short film Happy Birthday Mummy Ji. He has also released the first poster of his short film. Shefali is going to present a beautiful story to the audience. He himself has also written the story of the film. Sharing the film’s poster on Instagram, Shefali wrote, “Please shower your blessings on my child. A new step in the world of directing. I need your best wishes. Happy Birthday Mummy Ji is releasing on 23rd July on Large Short Films. Shefali had earlier directed the short film Someday, which was shortlisted for the Oscar-recognized 51st annual USA Film Festival’s International Short Film and Video Competition.

Shefali said, this is the story of everyone who is known by their relationships, family, home. A choice, which we happily choose, but at some point of time we all have felt that there is a dire need to let go of all responsibilities. He said, the lockdown caused by Kovid created a strong sense of isolation on our faces, but what if there was a different ideology on it.
Shefali was last seen in the film Ajibhi Dastaan. Now she will soon be seen in the film Darlings opposite Alia Bhatt. Shefali is also going to work with Vidya Balan in a film for the first time. It is a comedy drama film, in which Shefali will play an important role. The film will be directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by Vikram Malhotra. Shefali is also playing an important role in Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Doctor Ji.

In a recent interview, Shefali said, “The kind of scripts I chose, it has benefited me that directors are now trusting me to play different roles. He said, the entertainment world is looking at me in a new way. OTT took my career to a different level. After Delhi crime, there was a big change in career and life. After this the film industry felt that I can do the lead role.
