Along with the character in the film ‘Adi Purush’, there is a sense of responsibility: Kriti Sanon

Actress Kriti Sanon says she realizes the responsibilities that come with playing Goddess Sita in “Adipurush” and the team is well aware of it. Directed by Om Raut, the film is based on the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’ and will feature Prabhas as Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh.
For a long time, many artistes have been subjected to online criticism on social media for such sensitive issues as viewers were accusing them of hurting their religious sentiments. Due to this, the name of actor Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ was changed to ‘Lakshmi’ and a scene of the web series ‘Tandav’ was also under controversy.
‘Adi Purush’ star Saif Ali Khan also apologized in an interview over a comment made on the film. Sanon said the team knows the importance of portraying the story of Aadipurush with sensitivity. Sanon said, “Obviously we have to stay within a circle and feel the responsibility of the character we are playing.
Fortunately, I am in the hands of a brilliant director who has gathered a lot of information on the subject and all the characters. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and its shooting began earlier this year. Sanon has completed shooting for a major part of the film. This is Sanon’s first film in which a lot of VFX has been used. The actress said shooting on the blue screen and chroma was an “absolutely different experience”.
