Mathura : Now there is no need to carry bags from home to get free ration. Maybe MLA, MP, Zilla Panchayat member or someone else is present at the dealer’s shop to give you ration. From the ration dealer, ration will be available in the bag, on which the photos of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister will be printed.
The state government, which is preparing for the assembly elections, is working on taking its schemes to the minds of the people. Kotedars are giving ration by keeping them in a bag. On which the picture of PM and CM is put. These bags will be made available by the Food Supply Department, but their distribution will be made through the Information Department. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, free food grains are being provided to poor and needy families in the situation arising due to corona infection. Distribution of these bags from government fair rate ration shops will be done to each beneficiary in the presence of the minister in-charge of the district, local MP, MLA and public representatives. District Supply Officer Anand Singh said that ration and bags will be distributed according to the intention of the government. Five kg of food grains (three kg of wheat and two kg of rice) are being given per unit. Roshan card holders of the district will get one bag each. In order to woo the voters, the previous government had distributed laptops and cycles painted in spay colour. Akhilesh Yadav had his picture printed on the ration card and school bag. Now the Yogi government is also trying to woo the public with populist schemes.
