Uttarakhand : CM honored 50 corona warriors in the state level corona warrior honor ceremony
To deal with COVID-19, CM announced an incentive package of more than Rs 205 crore in the state

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced an incentive package of more than Rs 205 crore for the health sector and the personnel working in it to deal with the global pandemic Kovid-19. This will benefit 3 lakh 73 thousand 568 people of the state. On Monday, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami honored about 50 Corona warriors of the state in the State Level Corona Warrior Award Ceremony organized by the Health Department at the Janta Darshan Hall at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in the fight against the dreadful global epidemic like COVID-19 continuously for more than one year, the dedication and service by our health sector officers, doctors, para medical staff, class IV and all other personnel day and night. A very commendable work is being done with hard work day and night. It is not possible to compensate them financially for the duty performed by them with dedication. Nevertheless, it has been decided by the State Government to provide incentive assistance/amount to encourage such personnel. Under the package announced by the Chief Minister, Asha Facilitators and Anganwadi workers will be given Rs 2 thousand per month for the next 5 months. An amount of Rs.3-3 thousand will be given to the employees of Group C and D of the Health Department and Rs.10-10 thousand to the doctors. This will benefit about 61000 personnel. Along with this, one tablet each will also be provided to 1120 ASHA facilitators and Anganwadi workers. Ayurvedic and homeopathic kits will also be distributed to these personnel with the aim of protecting them from the ill effects of COVID-19 and increasing their immunity. About 3,73,568 persons will be benefited from the above schemes. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government has also decided to expand health services in the state. Under this, government medical colleges will be set up in Haridwar and Pithoragarh districts, for which an amount of Rs 70-70 crore will be released in the current financial year. The Chief Minister said that the State Government was determined to make medical and health services accessible to the common man. For this reason, the target is to spend about Rs 205 crore on the above mentioned schemes in the medical sector. The Chief Minister also thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the initiative taken at the national level for the rescue of Corona. The Chief Minister said that under the able leadership of Modi ji, the corona vaccine was prepared in the country itself under limited resources and was also made available to many countries. The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has not only provided free vaccine facility to everyone in the country, but 80 crore people of the country have also been provided free ration under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand Atal Ayushman Yojana would be made more practical with sensitivity to provide better medical facilities to the people in the state. Describing the doctors as the second God on earth, he said that the doctors have the responsibility to serve the public better. Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that the Corona warriors worked day and night under adverse conditions. In a month, all 70 assembly constituencies will be honored with corona warriors. By December 30, 2021, 100% vaccination will be done in the state. It is at number five in vaccination in the whole country. By November we will be in first place. Atal Ayushman cards of more than 42 lakh people have been made. So far more than 2 lakh 93 thousand people have been benefited by this. We will organize health fairs in every assembly constituency. 7 thousand people will be given employment in the health department. Cabinet Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi said that there is less respect for our doctors and health workers. The doctor is truly divine. Because of these, today COVID is in a controlled state. Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey informed that during the COVID period, the health infrastructure in the state has been improved manifold. In March 2020, there was not even a single District COVID Care Center, in July 2021 there were 320. Oxygen support beds have increased from 673 to 6572 in March 2020. During this period ICU beds increased from 216 to 1655, ventilators increased from 116 to 1014. Earlier there was only one Oxygen Generation Plant, now there are 24. The number of Medical Officers has increased from 1861 to 2351. RTPCR Testing Lab was only 01 which is now 37. Now we have 64 true net machines. We are ahead of the national average in vaccination. 50 percent have been given the first dose. Giving information about the possible third wave of COVID, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey said that 1945 pediatric oxygen beds and 739 NICU, PICU beds in the state have been identified for Kovid cases in children. Micronutrients have been arranged for children. Necessary medicines will be made available in all CHCs, PHCs, sub centers by August 10, 2021. Health workers are also being given training. COVID testing facilities are being made available up to PHC and CHC level.
