◾️After leaving the house of Singhdev, BJP members raised questions on the functioning of the government
On the second day of the monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, once again the matter of attack on Congress MLA Brihaspat Singh was raised. State Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu gave his statement in this matter, but this time the State Health Minister TS Singhdeo got angry and left the house due to this statement. Expressing displeasure in this matter, Mr. Singhdeo said that he would not consider himself fit to sit in the House until the government clarified his position regarding his role. BJP members also raised many questions regarding the functioning of the government after the Health Minister left the house in anger. The BJP members demanded an inquiry into the incident of the attack on the Congress MLA by a committee of the House.
During Zero Hour, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu made his statement regarding the attack on Congress MLA Brihaspat Singh. After the minister’s statement, BJP members raised questions in this case that what happened that the MLA has been accused of conspiracy to murder the minister and if the MLA is lying then why. He readily demanded a probe by the House Committee in this matter. On this, Dr Mahant clarified with ease, I saw it on TV but till July 25, no one came to me regarding this matter and I am in the House since July 26, here also the MLA did not say anything. I spoke to the Chief Minister at the behest of you people and now the Home Minister’s statement has come in this matter. After a pleasant speech, the Health Minister, Mr. Singhdeo suddenly stood up and left the house saying that enough has happened, enough has happened. He said that you all know about me, about my parents. Tried to tell something about me who don’t know. He said that till the government does not clarify its stand and does not say about my role, then it will be in accordance with this high level house and its norms that I should not stay in this house. He said that Speaker, with your permission, I am leaving this house immediately.
After the Health Minister left the house in anger like this, BJP members created a ruckus raising many questions on the functioning of the government. Thereafter, the proceedings of the House were adjourned for 10 minutes. After this, as soon as the proceedings of the house resumed, the BJP members once again said with ease in this matter that when a minister of the ruling party expresses no confidence in the government, then how will the people of the state trust the government. In this case there is no justification for the House. The BJP members eagerly demanded that the entire matter be probed by a committee of the House. When Asandi did not accept the demand, the BJP members went to the sanctum sanctorum and started shouting slogans. After which the Speaker of the Assembly adjourned the proceedings of the House till 11 am on Wednesday, July 27.
