Suspected Pakistani drones seen at three places in an hour, returned after firing

Suspected Pakistani drones were seen hovering at three different places in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district late last night. Officials said that these drones were sighted at the same time in Bari-Brahmin, Chiladya and Gagwal areas between 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm. Two of these drones were seen near Army Camp and ITBP Camp. These drones have been seen at a time when police shot down a Pakistani drone carrying five kilograms of IED material in the Kanchak area near the border here about a week ago.

Officials said Border Security Force (BSF) personnel fired a few shots at Chiladaya on a drone returning to Pakistan. The other two drones disappeared from the sky soon after hovering over sensitive security installations on the Jammu-Pathankot highway at Bari Brahmana and Gagwal, officials said. Police along with other security forces have left for a thorough search at the spot and detailed information in this regard is awaited.
