Haridwar-based hockey player Vandana Kataria, who scored three goals against South Africa in the Tokyo Olympics, gave a scintillating performance at her Roshnabad residence. A large number of people expressed their happiness over the brilliant performance of Vandana Katariya, who led India to victory in the match and wished her a bright future. Hundreds of villagers, who reached Vandana Kataria’s house under the leadership of former District Panchayat President Rao Afaq Ali, congratulated their families by feeding them sweets. During this, Rao Afaq Ali said that Vandana Kataria is not only the daughter of Uttarakhand but the whole country. Vandana Kataria has made India proud by creating history in the Tokyo Olympics by scoring a hat-trick by scoring three consecutive goals. He urged the government to build a stadium in the name of Vandana Kataria and said that trained coaches of all sports should be kept so that the talent gets a chance to grow. While feeding sweets to Vandana Kataria’s mother, brother Pankaj Kataria, Shekhar Kataria and Lakhan Kataria, Rao Afaq Ali said that Vandana Kataria has proved that even the daughters of the country are no less than sons. Rather, daughters have outperformed sons. He also appealed to the general public to respect and nurture the talent of their daughters. Many people including Advocate Rao Farman, Advocate Shahbaz, Ramesh, Dilshad, Shahzad Khan, Sanawar, Yameen, Shabdar and Roshan Khan, Saddam, Gulsher, were present among those who congratulated.
