Maharashtra / Sangli : Clashes broke out between two groups in Sangli, Maharashtra, three killed, five injured

Three persons were killed and five others were seriously injured in a clash between two rival factions during the birth anniversary celebrations of late Annabhau Sathe in Dudhondi village of Sangli district in Maharashtra.

Police said that during the celebration of the birth anniversary of late Annabhau Sathe in Dudhondi village, a dispute broke out between the members of Sathe and Mohite faction over an earlier enmity. After this the members of both the groups attacked each other with swords, knives and sharp weapons.
In the attack, three members of both the groups died on the spot while five others were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. Police have identified the deceased as Arvind Sathe, Vikas Mohite and Sani Mohite. The injured have been identified as Swapnil Sathe, Dilip Sathe, Sangram Mohite, Akash Mohite and Lakhan Mohite.
