Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, on August 5, Anna Mahotsav will be organized at all quota shops in the district. Under this, ration card holders will be given food grains in printed bags at the rate of 5 kg per unit, in which 3 kg wheat and 2 kg rice will be given free of cost per unit. Giving information, District Magistrate Soumya Aggarwal has directed all the officers to ensure distribution of food grains among the eligible beneficiaries as per the instructions of the government in the preparatory meeting organized in the Collectorate Auditorium. . Therefore, every ration shop will be decorated with cleanliness and 100 beneficiaries will be seated there, who will listen to the speech of Hon’ble Prime Minister. He has directed the District Supply Officer to make necessary arrangements for this. He has directed the Deputy RMO to ensure the lifting of food grains as per the target. Sector officers and nodal officers have been deployed to supervise all the shops. The Block Development Officer will be the nodal officer of his block. He directed the District Panchayat Raj Officer to inform all the village heads regarding the program, who will cooperate in the necessary arrangements at the quota shops. He said that the MPs, MLAs and public representatives of the district would be present in the Gram Panchayats and distribute food grains. All the Anganwadi workers and assistants posted in the district will cooperate with them in this work. He has directed the Basic Education Officer to ensure the presence of all the teachers deployed for this work at the fair price shop from 7:00 am, who will make necessary arrangements there. Fair rate vendors will arrange television. So that the beneficiaries can listen to the speech of the Prime Minister. During this time, following the Corona protocol there, arrangements will be made for seating of at least 100 persons. District Supply Officer Satyaveer Singh said that there are a total of 4.36 lakh beneficiaries in the district. On August 5, food grains will be given in prescribed bags to the ration card holders at each quota shop. Its entire distribution will be completed by August 15 in the first phase. Deputy RMO Gorakhnath Tiwari informed that 100% lifting of total 9196.58 metric tonnes of food grains has been completed.

ADM Abhay Kumar Mishra, Deputy District Magistrate Amritpal Kaur, Sukhbir Singh, Pawan Jaiswal, Anand Shrinet, DDO Ajit Srivastava, Executive Officer Akhilesh Tripathi, all Block Development Officers and departmental officers were present in the meeting.
