After the ruckus in the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) over the appointment of Arvind Raj Tripathi alias Chhotu as the state minister, the party has summoned him to Lucknow and sought answers. Dozens of cases are registered against Arvind alias Chhotu in Kotwali, Kalyanpur and Kakadev police stations. There is also a history sheeter of Kakadev police station.
There seems to be increasing resentment over this decision within the party. Arvind is a history-sheeter in the records of Kakadev police station. Cases are registered against him in many serious sections including the murder of a student leader. He has also been convicted in a murder case. He has two counts of attempt to murder. The first case was registered against Arvind in 2002. In 2009, gangster action was taken against him. Four times the police took action against Arvind under the Goondas Act. Apart from this, apart from extortion, assault, two cases of Seven CLA are also registered. The charge of murder has also been proved in one case.
After the news in the media, the BJP top administration is looking very serious. BJYM state president Pranshu Dutt Dwivedi says that the whole matter is in his cognizance. Arvind Tripathi has been summoned to Lucknow and an explanation has been sought.
bjyumo state minister gave clarification
The state minister, who came under the ambit of allegations in this whole matter, says that 16 cases were registered against him during the BSP regime due to political reasons. He has been acquitted in 15 cases. At present, a case of fee hike in student politics is going on against him. No new case has been registered against him since 2010. He has been acquitted in all, including the murder case. He is being maligned by his political opponents. He is ready to come to any platform and present the evidence of his acquittal.
