When the police, who went on patrol in Sitarganj, surrounded the suspected miscreants, the miscreants opened fire on the police teams. Police laid siege and arrested two miscreants. While three miscreants fled from the spot. Policeman Sanjay was injured in a scuffle with the miscreants. The miscreants hit Sanjay on the head with the butt of a gun. In this, Sanjay fainted in a bloody situation. Sanjay has been admitted to the CHC. Kotwal Prakash Singh Danu said that the police force under the leadership of SSI Sudhakar Joshi was on patrol in the Sitarganj area late on Monday night. During this, the police got information about the sighting of suspicious people with weapons in the forest of Nalai. SSI Sudhakar Joshi informed Kotwal Prakash Singh Danu about the incident. Kotwal sent additional police force to the spot. Three police teams surrounded the armed miscreants near the government tubewell on the forest side of the village Nalhi river. As soon as the sight of these miscreants fell on the police teams, they left their motorcycle and started firing on the police team by taking out their weapons. The police team laid siege and caught two miscreants. During this, in a tussle-fight with the miscreants, constable Sanjay was fatally attacked with the butt of a gun by the miscreants who fell unconscious on the spot. In the treatment, Sanjay has got five stitches in his head. During this three miscreants managed to escape. The arrested accused were identified as Kuldeep Singh son Mukhtyar Singh resident of Pasaini, Lakhwinder Singh son Gurdev Singh resident of Tila number 4 police station Hazara district Pilibhit UP.
