Uttarakhand / Rudrapur : Work boycott of Asha workers continues on the second day

Asha workers continued to boycott work for the second day on Tuesday and staged a sit-in in the hospital premises. Asha workers are agitating for the 12-point demands. Congressmen including Municipal President Harish Dubey have also supported the movement. On Tuesday, on the call of the Asha Health Workers Union, the agitating Asha workers raised slogans against the government. He said that since the Corona period, the workers go ahead and work on every occasion, but their demands are ignored. The work of ASHA workers is being increased continuously. ASHAs in the salary are described as voluntary workers. In the demand letter sent to the CM, giving the status of government employees to ASHA workers, fixing the fixed honorarium like Anganwadi, provision of pension, release of corona allowance announced by the former CM, life insurance of 50 lakhs and health insurance of 10 lakhs. Demanded to implement, respectful behavior in hospitals, not to put ASHAs in corona duty till there is no provision of separate monthly allowance for corona duty. Congress leader Malti Biswas supported the movement.
