Tokyo Olympic : Lovlina lost to Turkish boxer in the semi-finals, won the bronze medal

Lovlina Borgohain lost to Turkish boxer Busenaz Suramenelli in the semi-finals but managed to win the bronze medal. Lovlina has become the third boxer of India, whose name is recorded to win the bronze medal. Mary Kom and Vijender Kumar had won the bronze medal in boxing at the Olympics. Ravi Dahiya in 57 kg category and Deepak Poonia in 86 kg category have made a place in the semi-finals by performing amazingly. Ravi won the match against Bulgaria by 14-4, while Deepak defeated Shen of China 6-3 to make it to the semi-finals. Both the Indian wrestlers are one win away from the medal. Today is the semi-final of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team, apart from medal hope Neeraj Chopra in the Javelin throw competition. Neeraj has started his campaign brilliantly. He made a place in the final by throwing 86.65 meters in his very first round. Neeraj had to cover a distance of more than 83.50 meters for the qualification mark. He qualified for the final by throwing 86.65m in his very first attempt.
