Madhya Pradesh / Chitrakoot : Case filed against those who made objectionable remarks against Mulayam, Akhilesh

In Chitrakoot district, a case has been registered against a person for making objectionable remarks on social media against Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and its national president Akhilesh Yadav. The incident came to light on Sunday after the district president of the party lodged an FIR against the said person at the Karvi Kotwali police station.
He also threatened to launch agitation if appropriate action was not taken against the accused.
Chitrakoot District Samajwadi Party President Anuj Yadav told reporters that Sandeep Sharma alias Sandy Sharma, a resident of Karvi town, had uploaded a video on social media, in which he attacked the party’s national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. He was seen making derogatory remarks.
Yadav said, his act has hurt the sentiments of lakhs of party workers and supporters.
Kotwali police station in-charge Tripathi said that on the basis of the complaint of SP District President, a case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of IPC and IT Act.
The police tried to raid the house of the accused late last night, but the accused locked himself in the house.
He will be interrogated and necessary action will be taken against him based on the complaint, the police officer said.
