Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : 8 boxes of English liquor caught from a luxury car, one arrested

Police have arrested an accused with eight boxes of English liquor being illegally smuggled in a luxury car. Along with this, during checking at different places, three more people including the woman have been caught with alcohol. The police have seized the car. According to the Kotwali police, the police team was on checking on Monday morning near the flyover located on Doon Marg. Meanwhile, a car coming from Ranipokhari’s side was stopped. On search of the car, Haryana brand liquor boxes were found. The accused, who was caught by the police, has been identified as Dinesh son Prem Narayan resident of Nuna Majra, Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Haryana. The car used in the smuggling has been seized. At the same time, the Kotwali police caught the woman and the man with country liquor during checking near the Bhairav Temple Tirahe. 26-26 paves of country liquor were recovered from near Chandeshwarnagar resident of Gudiya and Bajrangi. Whereas Mayank Jatav resident got 48 paves of Desi from near Bankhandi. Kotwal Shishupal Singh Negi said that a case has been registered against the accused under the relevant section.
