Ward 2 Bhupatwala councilor Sunita Sharma distributed Mahalaxmi kits to the women. During this, he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving meaning to the slogan Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The state government is committed for the upliftment of women. Due to the initiatives and meaningful schemes of the government, girls are getting a chance to lead. The initiative taken by Child Development Minister Rekha Arya is really commendable. Surely every poor family and local people will get the benefit of Mahalaxmi Yojana and daughters will get a chance to come forward in the society. He said that Uttarakhand’s daughter hockey player Vandana Kataria has brought laurels to the country and Uttarakhand in the Tokyo Olympics. It is a matter of pride for all. CDPO Project Officer Sangeeta Goyal said that the scheme will be implemented in each area and the work will be done to motivate the local councilors to take this scheme door-to-door.
