Fawad Alam became the fastest Pakistani batsman to score five Test centuries

Fawad Alam has become the fastest Pakistani batsman to score five Test centuries. Fawad achieved this feat in the ongoing second test match against West Indies. The left-handed batsman scored his fifth Test century in his 22nd innings. Fawad broke the record of former Pakistan captain Younis Khan in this matter. Younis had scored his first five Test centuries in 28 innings while Salim Malik achieved the feat in 29 innings. Apart from this, Fawad also became the sixth Pakistan batsman to score a century at Sabina Park. Before Fawad, Imtiaz Ahmed (122 in 1958), Wazir Mohammad (106 in 1958), Asif Iqbal (135 in 1977), Younis Khan (106 in 2005) and Inzamam-ul-Haq (117 not out in 2005) scored hundreds at Sabina Park. Not only this, Fawad has also become the fastest Asian batsman to score five Test centuries. In this case, Fawad has surpassed Cheteshwar Purja (24 innings) and Sourav Ganguly and Sunil Gavaskar (both achieved in 25 innings).
