Uttarakhand : GOC of Central Command In Chief had a courtesy call on CM Dhami

GOC-in-Chief of the Central Command, Lieutenant General Yogendra Dimri AVSM, in the Vidhan Sabha on Friday from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Courtesy call by VSM. He discussed with the Chief Minister on various topics related to the development of communication facilities and roads in the border areas of the state. The Chief Minister also told the need of road widening up to Joshimath-Auli, road construction and improvement to the marginal areas of Pithoragarh. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the State Government is paying special attention to the development of marginal areas. Special attention is being given to connectivity of these areas by road and development of communication facilities.
The Chief Minister said that many schemes have been implemented for the welfare of soldiers in the state. Arrangements have been made in the state to employ the dependents of the martyred soldiers. He assured full cooperation to the army in the development of roads, communication facilities and health facilities in the border areas. The Chief Minister expected to open CSD canteen in Khatima like Banbasa.
Lt. Jan Yogendra Dimri expected the Chief Minister to cooperate in the widening of Joshimath-Auli road as well as connecting Mansarovar road in the border areas of Pithoragarh with the road. He also expected the army to provide land for the establishment of CGHS polyclinics at places like Rudraprayag, Karnprayag, Bageshwar etc. He said that if sufficient land is provided to the CACD depot located in Dehradun city at a suitable place elsewhere in the city, then it would be considered for shifting.
