Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Government is confusing traders on Chardham Yatra: Sunil Sethi

On the non-starting of Chardham Yatra, under the leadership of Sunil Sethi, social worker and District President of Mahanagar Vyapar Mandal, traders associated with tourism gathered at Purusharthi market near the bus stand and expressed their anger by raising slogans against the government. Sunil Sethi said that the government will have to give up its handicap on the Chardham Yatra. The government should give permission to the pilgrims who have got both the doses of RTPCR report and vaccine to travel to Chardham. Sethi said that the government is misleading the traders by referring to the court on Chardham Yatra. He said that the government was not serious on Chardham Yatra from the very beginning. On the issue of Chardham Yatra, the government neither strongly advocated in the court nor showed interest in starting the yatra. If the government had given the correct affidavit in the court, then surely the journey would have started. Due to the lax attitude of the government, the traders associated with tourism have reached the verge of starvation. Due to incomplete preparations and incomplete affidavit of the government, there has been a crisis on the journey. Even for the relief amount, traders are facing problems due to all the formalities. So far none of the traders got any relief. Taxi Maxi Transport President Girish Bhatia, Metropolitan President Jitendra Chaurasia, Taxi Union President Nathiram Saini said that Chardham Yatra should be done by making arrangements. Traders are continuously raising their voice for this. All religious pilgrimages are going on smoothly in the country. But by banning the Chardham Yatra, the government is treating the traders step-motherly. All the merchants of Haridwar are dependent on Chardham Yatra. Due to lack of travel for two years, the situation of starvation has come in front of the traders. He said that if the government cannot provide any help to the traders, then it does not have the right to stop even the means of earning. The government should have taken a strong stand in the court to conduct the Chardham Yatra. If the government still does not start the yatra, then the traders will definitely answer it in the 2022 elections. Among those protesting are Varun Bhatia, Gagan Deep Damir, Gaurav Gautam, Ravi Joshi, Mukesh Kuchhal, Sachin Verma, Umesh Chaudhary, Sonu Chaudhary, Sunny Damir, Dharampal Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Manoj Singh, Rajesh Bhatia, Rajesh Kumar, Arun Sharma, Devendra Arora etc. were mainly involved.
