Uttarakhand / Vikasnagar : One person died due to cloudburst in Pachhwadoon, many houses and cowsheds collapsed

Incessant rain in Pachhwadun has caused huge destruction. One person was killed, while several houses and cowsheds were destroyed in a cloudburst in Vikasnagar block Jakhan village. Villagers’ cows have also gone missing. Along with this, people have suffered heavy losses due to heavy debris entering many houses in the weapon. At the same time, the team of SDRF and administration is engaged in relief and rescue operations. The administration has shifted many people to safer places. Normal life has been disturbed due to incessant rains in Pachhwadoon. Due to the rain on Wednesday night, there was a huge devastation due to cloudburst in Kaushiana Majra of Jakhan village at around 3 am. Three houses were destroyed by the inundation that came after the cloudburst. 75-year-old Darshan Singh Chambel died after being buried under the rubble of the house. In the morning the villagers pulled out the dead body of the elderly from the rubble. Apart from this, three cowsheds and two houses of the villagers were also destroyed. One goat and two cows went missing. In the inundation that came due to cloudburst, twenty bighas of the villagers got buried, as well as fifteen bighas of land got flooded. Affected villagers Chatar Singh, Bharat Singh, Manjit Singh, Jeevan Singh told that their lifetime earnings have been washed away in the flood of water. He has appealed to the administration for quick help.
