Uttarakhand : Opposition took out tractor rally for many demands including sugarcane support price

Dehradun : On Friday, Congress MLAs and leaders created a ruckus in protest against the increase in the support price of sugarcane, payment of arrears and the Kisan Bill. He protested in front of the assembly gate by taking sugarcane in a tractor from the Race Course MLA’s residence in protest against the anti-farmer policies. The main opposition party against the government seems to be quite aggressive during the session. Today, he took out a tractor rally for many demands including sugarcane support price. During this, Mangalore MLA Qazi Nizamuddin told that the Congress is opposing the black law made against the farmers by the central government and the party will continue to protest till it is not withdrawn. At the same time, regarding the sugarcane support price, the MLA said that the government has not increased even a single rupee so far. Earlier, during the last day’s session, Congress MLAs had reached the assembly on bicycles and had spoken against the government over the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel as well as cooking gas. The Congress does not want to miss an opportunity to corner the government in this assembly session under any circumstances.
