46,759 new patients, 509 deaths in last 24 hours
As the cases of corona infection in the country increase once again, signs of the third wave are beginning to appear. In the last 24 hours, 46,759 new corona patients have been found, while 509 people died. However, 31,374 patients have also been discharged from the hospital on recovery.
According to the Union Health Ministry, after 46,759 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the country in the last 24 hours on Saturday, the number of infected people in the country increased to 3,26,49,947 on Saturday. Whereas after the death of 509 more people due to infection, the death toll in the country increased to 4,37,370 i.e. the COVID-19 mortality rate is 1.34 percent. During this, after the recovery of 31,374 patients, so far 3,18,52,802 people in the country have defeated Corona by becoming infection free. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment increased for the fourth consecutive day and in the last 24 hours, the number of patients under treatment increased by 14,876. Thus the number of patients under treatment in the country has increased to 3,59,775, which is 1.10 percent of the total cases. The national recovery rate of patients is 97.56 percent. There has been an increase of 14,876 cases in the number of patients under treatment in the last 24 hours.
Highest death in Maharashtra
Of the 509 people who died due to infection in the country in the last 24 hours, 179 were from Kerala and 170 from Maharashtra. According to the ministry’s data, a total of 4,37,370 people have died due to infection in the country so far, out of which 1,36,900 people from Maharashtra, 37,248 people from Karnataka, 34,835 people from Tamil Nadu, 25,080 people from Delhi, 22,796 people from Uttar Pradesh. There were 20,313 people from Kerala and 18,410 from West Bengal. Apart from this, cases of corona infection have started increasing once again in the country. In the last 24 hours, 46,759 new positive patients have been found. In Kerala, 32,809 new cases have been reported in a day. While there has been some relief in the number of corona patients in Maharashtra. More than 4600 new cases have been reported here in the last 24 hours.
Investigation of more than fifty one crore
According to the ministry’s data, a total of 51,68,87,602 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the country so far, out of which 17,61,110 samples were tested on Friday. The daily infection rate is 2.66 percent, which is less than three percent for the last 33 days. At the same time, the weekly infection rate is 2.19 percent, which is less than three percent for the last 64 days.
62.29 crore vaccination in the country
According to the report of the ministry, India administered a record 1,03,35,290 doses of COVID-19 vaccine on Friday and a total of 62.29 crore doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccines have been given in the country. People have been given these doses in 67,19,042 sessions.
India created history in vaccination
On Friday, more than 1 crore doses of corona vaccine have been administered across the country, which is the biggest ever figure for vaccination in a single day. With this, corona vaccine has been administered to more than 62 crore people in India so far. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of vaccines across the country. Here 28 lakh 62 thousand 649 people were given corona vaccine. At the same time, Karnataka was at number two, more than 10 lakh people were vaccinated here, while in Maharashtra 984117 people were given vaccine doses. Similarly, 6 lakh people were vaccinated in Haryana.
Thus the graph of infection increased
The number of infected people in the country had crossed 20 lakh on August 7 last year, 30 lakh on August 23 and more than 40 lakh on September 5. At the same time, the total cases of infection crossed 50 lakhs on 16th September, 60 lakhs on 28th September, 70 lakhs on 11th October, 80 lakhs on 29th October and 90 lakhs on 20th November. In the country, these cases crossed one crore on December 19, crossed two crore on May 4 and crossed three crore on June 23.
