Bhopal Heavy Rain Warning: A new cyclonic circle is being formed, ‘heavy rain’ alert for the next 5 days in these 16 districts
After two days of monsoon, the city was sunny throughout the day. At the same time, late in the night the whole city was surrounded by clouds and it rained heavily for about 3 hours. Water flooded many parts of the city. Roads drowned. Ponds were formed at many intersections including BRTS, Collectorate, Labaria Bheru, Harsiddhi area, Malganj. The drivers faced trouble at night. On the other hand, shortly after the rain started, the lights of many places also went off.
No one expected to see the sunshine after heavy rain in some parts of the city in the afternoon, the roads of the city would become ponds in the late night. Due to the rain, a lot of water was flooded in various parts of the city. There was a pond-like situation near the Harsiddhi bridge, as the sewerage came out and was filled with water. More than 4 inches of rain fell in three hours. This figure could be higher given the rain situation.
What does the Meteorological Department say?
According to the Meteorological Department, at present a cyclonic circulation is over South Gujarat. Which is inclined towards South-West. A dronika is also passing. As a result of which it rained heavily. The situation is likely to remain like this for 5 days, due to which there will be heavy rain at isolated places. In the coming days also, a system is forming in the Bay of Bengal. Due to which good rain is expected. The maximum temperature was 30.0 degrees and the minimum temperature was 23.2 degrees. Both were above average.
Alert issued in these districts
According to the Meteorological Department, 16 districts of the state are in the Red Zone. These include Indore, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Harda, Hoshangabad, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Panna, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla, Seoni and Balaghat. Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Ujjain, Indore, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa and Sagar divisions are likely to receive heavy and drizzle rains in the next 24 hours. Along with Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Sagar and Jabalpur divisions, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in Khandwa, Dewas and Indore. There is also a possibility of lightning or falling in some places along with thunderstorms.
