Amrullah Saleh will not surrender before Taliban

Amrullah Saleh, who was once the Vice President of Afghanistan, is fighting for the self-respect of his country these days. He is leading the resistance forces against Taliban fighters in the Panjshir Valley. Meanwhile, Saleh has written an article in the British newspaper Daily Mail. Saleh has written that if he gets injured during the fighting at Panjshir, he has given special instructions to his guards. He has been told to shoot two bullets in my head if this happens, because I do not want to surrender to the Taliban.

Twice our convoy was attacked
About his arrival at Panjshir, Saleh wrote that he left for there in two military vehicles and two pickup trucks. There were guns on these trucks. On the way to Panjshir, this convoy was attacked twice. He has written that we crossed the Northern Pass after a lot of difficulty. There were many illegal activities going on here. Everywhere was ruled by thugs, thieves and Taliban. We were also attacked twice but we survived. We crossed this path with great difficulty.

Support found in Panjshir
Saleh further wrote that when he reached Panjshir, he got the message. It was told that the elders of the community have gathered in the mosque. I reached there and talked to him for about an hour. After that each one of them was ready to support us. He told that Panjshir was a tourist destination for the last 20 years. Here we had neither any military equipment nor weapons. But I made a war strategy there with Ahmed Masood and so far everything is going well.
