Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Kapil Gurjar of Haridwar will represent the country in the World Body Building Championship
Kapil Gurjar of Haridwar will represent the country at the World Body Building Champions to be held in Uzbekistan next month. Giving information to the journalists in the Press Club, Kapil Gurjar said that his goal is to get the gold medal while representing the country in athletic physics. He told that he has been selected for the World Championship in the tiles organized by the Indian Body Building Federation in Chandigarh. Kapil Gurjar told that about thirty players will represent the country in the competition. In which three players from Uttarakhand are included. Kapil Gurjar said that the athlete is not getting any further encouragement from the state government. In other states, assistance of seven to eight lakh rupees is being given to the players from the government. But in Uttarakhand, no help is being given to the players. He said that about 15 lakh rupees are spent in a year to prepare for sports like body building. If the government helps, then the players will bring laurels to the state and the country by performing better. He said that he would soon meet the Chief Minister and Sports Minister of the state and apprise them about the plight of the players. BJP leader Anil Puri said that Kapil Gujjar has done the work of increasing the pride of Uttarakhand and the country. It is a matter of pride for the people of Dharmanagari to be selected for the World Body Building Championship. He said that soon after talking to the Chief Minister and the BJP State President, he would work to make them aware of the problems of the players.
