Rupee strengthens by two paise

The rupee strengthened by two paise to 73.52 per dollar in the interbanking currency market on selling by importers and bankers.

On the previous trading day, the rupee had strengthened by 18 paise to Rs 73.50 per dollar.

The rupee opened higher by a paise at Rs 73.51 per dollar in early trade but slipped to a low of Rs 73.52 per dollar under buying pressure. Due to selling, it also reached the highest level of Rs 73.34 per dollar. In the end, it was Rs 73.52 per dollar with an increase of two paise against the previous day’s Rs 73.50 per dollar.
