Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of Uri terrorist attack by lighting a candle

Veer Bhoomi Foundation paid a heartfelt tribute by lighting candles to the brave sons of the country who were martyred in the cowardly attack of pro-Pakistan terrorists in Uri five years ago. The members of the Foundation said that the martyrdom of the brave soldiers can never be forgotten. On Saturday evening, members of the Virbhoomi Foundation gathered at Major Vivek Chowk in Basant Vihar. Where he paid tribute to the martyrs by lighting candles. Foundation President Rajesh Rawat said that five years ago on September 18, 2016, terrorists had launched a cowardly attack on our brave soldiers in Uri. At 5.30 am, four Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists attacked the Indian Army’s Brigade Headquarters located in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir. In this attack 18 soldiers were martyred and many soldiers were injured. Exactly 10 days after the incident, our brave jawans had avenged the incident of Uri by killing 38 terrorists while doing surgical strike by entering Pakistan in its border. Councilors Shubham Negi, Ashish Gusai, Anil Nautiyal, Chandan Kanojia, Dheeraj Bisht, Shubham Verma, Rohit etc. were present on this occasion.
