Uttarakhand / Pauri : The road to Koltha village will be known as the first Vir Chakra winner
The road leading to Koltha village of Khirsu block will be named after the first Vir Chakra winner of Garhwal, Late Guman Singh Rawat. During a program organized in Pauri on Saturday, the Health Minister announced to name this road after Late Guman Singh Rawat. In a program organized at the district hospital on Saturday, Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat announced to name the road leading to Koltha village after the first Vir Chakra winner of Garhwal, Late Guman Singh Rawat. Said that work would be done on priority to connect the village with road facility soon. For a long time, his family members and villagers were demanding to name this road after the first Vir Chakra winner Late Guman Singh Rawat. Pravindra Singh Rawat, grandson of Veer Chakra recipient Late Guman Singh Rawat told that he along with the villagers had been demanding from the government for a long time to connect Koltha village with the road and to name this road after the Vir Chakra winner. Along with basic amenities in the village, he has also raised the demand to connect the village with road. Late Guman Singh Rawat’s wife Bhuma Devi said that her husband has made his supreme sacrifice for the country but till date the village has not been connected by road. He has demanded to provide basic facilities along with connecting the village with road facilities.
