Drugs worth Rs 9000 crore founded on Gautam Adani’s port, Imported from Afghanistan

The largest consignment of heroin has been caught at Mundra Port in Kutch, Gujarat, which is said to be worth around Rs 9000 crore. About 3000 kg of heroin has been seized from 2 containers, which were imported from Afghanistan. Along with this, 2 people have been arrested.

Adani Port is the company of Gautam Adani

Mundra Port is owned by Adani Port. Adani Port is a company of Gautam Adani. Heroin has been recovered in the operation of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and Customs, which has been confiscated by the agency.

Talcum powder was declared

According to DRI sources, the containers carrying heroin were imported by a firm based in Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh and the firm declared the consignment as ‘talcum powder’. The exporting firm has been identified as Hassan Hussain Limited, based in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Operation was going on for 5 days

The operation of DRI and Custom was going on for the last five days and when the agency stopped the consignment and investigated, drugs worth Rs 9000 crore were recovered in the guise of talcum powder. After this the agency has started investigation in 5 cities.
