Uttarakhand / Bageshwar : Youth arrested with 12 bottles of liquor and 144 verses

Kanda police station has arrested one person with 12 bottles and 144 pave of English liquor. A case has been registered against him under the Excise Act. In the meantime, smuggling of liquor is going on in full swing. After Reema, now Kanda police has also started a campaign against liquor. During checking on Saturday, the police arrested Basant Ballabh Pathak, son of Neeraj Pathak, resident of Majeda village. He had been a suspect in the village for a long time. Police have recovered 12 bottles and 144 paves of English liquor from the accused. The age of the accused is 27 years and the police have registered a case against him in the Excise Act. SHO Avinash Maurya said that the accused will be presented in the court. He said that the younger generation is working in smuggling of liquor. Instead of preparing for studies and jobs etc., youth are adopting shortcut way to earn money. He said that those who do drug business will not be accepted at all.
