Uttarakhand / Bageshwar : Two real brothers who went to bathe in Saryu flowed in the strong current, one’s body recovered, the search for the other continues

Two brothers who went to bathe in Saryu under Kapkot police station area were washed away in the strong current of Saryu. On the information of the people, the police reached the spot and started the rescue. The body of a child was found 500 meters away from the incident. While the search for another is on. After the incident, there has been chaos in Bhayun village. There was only grandmother in the house at the time of the incident. On Sunday, two real brothers were roaming on the banks of river Saryu near Kapkot Hydil at around 11:30. In the meantime, he got down to take a bath in the river and was swept away. Neighbors immediately informed the police about the incident. On information, teams of Police, Revenue, Fire, SDRF and Disaster Management reached the spot and started their search. The river Saryu started being reconstructed from Kapkot to Bageshwar. But the whereabouts of the children could not be traced. Around one o’clock the SDRF team has rescued one body, while the search for the other is going on. SHO Kapkot Madan Lal said that the body of ten-year-old Mohit, resident of Bhayun village, of Prakash Ram, has been recovered. While his younger son, seven-year-old Sumit, is yet to be traced. His search continues. Bageshwar police has also started investigation.
