Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait accused the government of cheating

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait today accused the government of cheating the farmers and said that if needed, the farmers’ movement will be run for ten years. Describing the farmers’ Bharat Bandh as a part of the movement, Tikait said that since ten months, farmers have been protesting in the outskirts of the national capital demanding the withdrawal of three agricultural laws and if the government’s dogma continues, then this movement will continue for ten months. Can be run for years. He said that the roads have not been sealed but the essential services have been kept free from the bandh. Supply of milk and fruits and vegetables and students appearing for exams and sick people have been kept free from the bandh.

He said that the government is not withdrawing the three agriculture laws and wants to talk to the farmers. Does she think farmers are fools? He said that today people should support Bharat Bandh by staying in their homes and if need be, they should leave their homes after 4 o’clock. Otherwise, they will get stuck in a jam. He also appealed to the shopkeepers to keep their shops closed till 4 pm.

The farmer leader said that their movement is peaceful and they are raising their demands in a democratic manner. Meanwhile, major opposition parties have supported the farmers’ Bharat bandh. On the other hand, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has also requested the farmers’ organizations to leave the path of agitation and hold talks. He said that whatever suggestions would be given by the farmers’ organizations, it would be considered with an open mind.
