Uttarakhand / Roorkee : Signal picketing by jamming the road
In connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri incident, the Bharatiya Kisan Union staged a symbolic protest by blocking the road in front of the Liberhedi Gate. Police diverted vehicles coming from Roorkee and Haridwar side from near Gur Mandi Gate towards Deoband.

Four farmers were murdered by the son of the Union Minister of State for Home, who ran over innocent farmers. Now the farmer is troubled by the repressive policy of the BJP. District President Vijay Shastri said that a symbolic jam was imposed on the call of the United Front of the farmers regarding the incident with the farmers of Lakhimpur. If the financial assistance of one crore rupees each to the victim families of Lakhimpur, government job to one member and proper punishment to the accused is not given, then the farmer will be forced to launch a massive agitation. Chaudhary Rampal Singh said that farmers were killed in Lakhimpur. A memorandum was also handed over to the President, ASDM Vijay Nath Shukla, who reached the spot after the symbolic jam and dharna.
