Pressure on precious metals
The effect of pressure on precious metals in the international market was also visible on the domestic market today where both gold and silver remained in decline.
In the international market, spot gold was down 0.51 percent at $ 1751.45 an ounce and US gold futures fell 0.31 percent to $ 1751.50 an ounce. During this, the silver spot fell 0.31 percent to $ 22.45 an ounce.
Domestically, gold fell by Rs 86 to Rs 46420 per 10 and gold mini fell by Rs 71 to Rs 46350 per 10 grams in the country’s largest futures market MCX.
During this, silver slipped by Rs 174 to Rs 60376 per kg and silver mini fell by Rs 140 to Rs 60632 per kg.
