Uttarakhand / Almora : Government strict regarding strike of electricity workers
In view of the announcement of Uttarakhand Electricity Officer Employees United Union Front to go on a proposed strike from October 6, the government has become alert to maintain law and order and uninterrupted supply of electricity in the state. Secretary Energy Sowjanya took a meeting of all the District Magistrates through video conferencing. He said that all necessary arrangements should be made to ensure that the power supply is not disrupted in any way in view of the strike. He said that proper security arrangements should be made for the personnel being deployed in electrical work. Said that the control room should be activated.
If there is a problem of power cut anywhere, then inform the state helpline number 1912 and also give publicity to this helpline number. So that in case of any problem, any person can give information on this number. Secretary Energy also directed that ESMA Act will be imposed on those employees who have given in writing not to strike, if those employees go on strike. District Magistrate Vineet Kumar informed that there are a total of four sub-stations in the district, in which the duties of all have been imposed, those whose duties have been imposed, training has also been given to them. Along with this, a control room has also been set up whose telephone number is 05963-220037. Along with this, magistrates and station in-charges have also been deployed. Superintendent of Police Amit Srivastava informed that comprehensive security arrangements have been completed in all the sub-stations of the district, in which adequate police forces will be deployed. Additional District Magistrate Chandra Singh Imlal, District Development Officer KN Tiwari, Deputy District Magistrate Bageshwar Hargiri, Adhibhi Vidyut Bhashkar Pandey, Project Officer Ureda Rocky Kumar etc. were present in the VC.
