Virat Kohli gets emotional leaving RCB captaincy

Virat Kohli had already announced before the second phase of IPL 2021 that this would be his last Indian Premier League season as captain. Apart from this, Virat has said that as long as he plays in IPL, he will play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). RCB had to face defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator match. With this defeat, the dream of winning the RCB title under Virat’s captaincy was also shattered. RCB has shared a video, in which Virat talks about the captaincy and most memorable moments with RCB. It is an emotional time for me as I have led the franchise team for a long time. I gave my best to help the team win the title, but unfortunately it could not happen, but life is like this. I have no complaints, I am thankful for the opportunities RCB gave me. I am happy that I was able to give everything that I had in my mind to the team. I am happy for whatever I have been able to do as captain for RCB.
Regarding the most memorable moment with RCB, Virat said, “When you sit down, you think about the matches in which we came back strongly. The matches in which we came back from tough conditions and won and made it to the playoffs, especially the matches played in Bangalore, which we won. As a captain, when you see the belief in the players that he will come back and win matches, it is the most wonderful feeling. I have never felt that I am not getting the support of our fans.

Virat said, all the coaches, support staff and even the top management gave full support. Never felt pressure from the senior management even when we could not win the trophy. That’s why I always say that my loyalty with this franchise is totally different.
