◾Orientation program for newly admitted students of pharmacy courses

Orientation program of newly admitted students of pharmacy courses conducted in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University was organized in Sant Kabir Auditorium of the campus. In which the students of Bachelor in Pharmacy and Diploma in Pharmacy courses of Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences participated. The program was inaugurated by the University’s Dean of Science Professor CK Mishra, Dean of Arts and Chief Controlling Professor Ajay Pratap Singh and Dean Student Welfare Professor Neelam Pathak by garlanding the picture of Maa Saraswati and lighting the lamp.
The welcome address was delivered by Professor Shailendra Kumar, Director, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, while encouraging the students to make their career in the field of science through the newly introduced curriculum. Professor Ajay Pratap explained the importance of discipline to the students of the faculty and told them the tricks to achieve success in life. Professor CK Mishra expressed his best wishes for the bright future of the students. On the other hand, Dean Student Welfare Professor Neelam Pathak informed the students about various scholarship schemes being run by the government. He also made the students aware of the facilities available in the campus. Professor Vinod Kumar Srivastava, Head of the Department of Economics and Rural Development informed the pharmacy students about the challenges and solutions being faced by them. The teacher of the institute, Dr. SP Singh, gave detailed information to the students regarding the dimensions of studies in the form of curriculum and the examinations to be conducted in the coming time. Dr. Anil Kumar and Dr. Sindhu Singh, coordinators of pharmacy course, while encouraging the students, studied in the field of pharmacy and emphasized on reducing the cost of various types of expensive medicines through research. Apart from this, he told the importance of education in pharmacy. Dr. Ajay Kumar Shukla and Dr. Vandana Gupta, other teachers of pharmacy, shared their journey from student life to becoming a teacher with the students. Ankur Srivastava, teacher of Pharmacy Institute conducted the program. Dr. Sindhu Singh did the vote of thanks to the guests. The program ended with the national anthem.
