Chhattisgarh / Jashpur : The dreaded leopard had reached the residential area, injured the farmer in Pathalgaon of Jashpur
A leopard has attacked a farmer and seriously injured him in Pathalgaon of Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. Pathalgaon Forest Officer SK Gupta said on Sunday that a dreaded leopard from the nearby Rede forest reached the residential area of Saritola. Here the leopard attacked the farmer Romanus Minj and seriously injured him. The injured farmer has been admitted to the Pathalgaon hospital for treatment.
Pathalgaon Forest Officer SK Gupta has confirmed the presence of a leopard after examining the claw marks at the spot. Expressing the apprehension of the leopard being a man-eater, he has instructed the nearby villagers not to go to the forest of Saritola, Rede. Panic among the people has increased after the presence of leopard after the riot of elephants in Jashpur forest division.
