Uttarakhand : CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on his visit to Kotdwar, you workers arrived for the gherao; police arrested
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is on a visit to Kotdwar. He attended the military honor ceremony here. Agriculture Minister Subodh Uniyal was also present with him. Earlier, Forest Minister Harak Singh Rawat, Vice-Chairman of Gau Sewa Aayog Rajendra Anthwal, Mandi Committee President Suman Kotnala welcomed him on the helipad. On the other hand, the AAP workers who were going to gherao CM Dhami were arrested by the police at Balasaur Tirahe and brought to Kotwali.
On Sunday, a Sainik Samman ceremony was organized by the BJP in the Vijay Garden located at Devi Mandir. State Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami attended the program as the chief guest. The Chief Minister’s helicopter landed at BEL ground around 3 pm. As soon as the Chief Minister arrived at Kotdwar, AAP workers gathered at a wedding point on Najibabad Road started marching towards the venue, raising slogans against Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami as well as regional MLA Dr. Harak Singh Rawat in the form of a procession.
Meanwhile, the police arrested seven party workers at Balasaur Tirahe. The arrested activists include AAP State Spokesperson Arvind Verma, District President Rajendra Jjedi, Mahitab Singh Rana, Dr. Vinod Samant, Sanjay Bhatia, Vikram Chaudhary and Tikam Singh. All have been brought to Kotwali.
State spokesperson Arvind Verma said that since BJP came to power, no development work has been done in Kotdwar district. Said that the party workers wanted to take information from the Chief Minister as well as the MLA about the five development works done in the Kotdwar district. But, the police arrested him.
