Uttarakhand : CM Dhami held a meeting with officials in Pithoragarh
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with the departmental officers at Vikas Bhawan auditorium in Pithoragarh and took information from the officials about the main problems of the district besides reviewing the development works and schemes being run in the district. He also inquired about the major construction works being carried out. While reviewing the progress of construction of Base Hospital building under construction, the Chief Minister directed the working organization to complete the work as soon as possible and operate the Base Hospital within a month. He instructed the District Magistrate and Chief Medical Officer to improve all the necessary arrangements in the district and women’s hospital within the next 10 days. The Chief Minister said that despite the release of funds, the construction work of Pithoragarh Medical College has not started, expressing displeasure over it, he directed to start the construction work soon. In the meeting, on the demand of health workers kept under contract by the Health Department during the Corona period by the public representatives, who have been removed at present, the Chief Minister on the telephone to the Secretary Medical, these contractual medicine kept in the district earlier. Instructions were given to keep the personnel again till March 31, 2022. For this, the District Magistrate was instructed to send the proposal to the government soon. He said that funds have also been released from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the payment of salaries of these personnel for the services rendered in the past.
In the meeting, besides making available necessary proposals regarding the problem of vehicle parking at the district headquarters, the Chief Minister directed to transfer and operate the multi-storey car parking constructed at the district headquarters in the next 10 days. In the meeting, while reviewing the construction of embankment on the banks of Kali river of Tehsil Dharchula, the officials of the Irrigation Department informed that a proposal has been sent to the government for the prevention of soil erosion on the banks of Kali river of Dharchula. will be provided. The work should be started soon after taking the tender process after approval from the government. While reviewing the disaster relief and rehabilitation works in the district, the Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate that by disposing of all the cases of rehabilitation, all possible help to the disaster affected. While distributing relief material etc. While reviewing the operation of regular flights from Nainisaini airstrip of the district, the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to the Secretary, Aviation, Uttarakhand from the meeting itself and said that taking prompt action, the state government has taken action to start air travel through state plane. Go. He said that soon the air services should be started from Nainisaini, in this regard he also directed District Magistrate Pithoragarh and Commissioner Kumaon to take immediate action. He said that the results should be seen soon in completing the development works. In the meeting, during the review of the work being done by the Uttar Pradesh Construction Corporation in the district, District Magistrate Pithoragarh informed that a marginal engineering college is being constructed in village Mad near the district headquarters, on the complaint of irregularities in the construction works, the Chief Minister directed the commissioner. He directed the Kumaon division to immediately conduct a high-level inquiry and take action as per the report of the inquiry constituted by the District Magistrate. The Chief Minister said that special attention should be paid to the quality, transparency and timeliness of the construction works and the District Magistrate should take prompt action against the agencies doing wrong work. During the review of the condition of roads etc. in the meeting, the District Magistrate apprised that out of 268 roads closed during the monsoon period, 265 roads have been opened for traffic. Work is being done expeditiously to open an important road connecting the Darma Valley at the earliest. Apart from this, it was apprised in the meeting that out of 254 km of road in the district, the work of patch work has been completed in 228 km of road, work is going on in the rest.
Out of total 271 roads under PMGSY, work on 144 roads has been completed. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, 60 percent work has been completed under the first phase. During the review of the progress of COVID vaccination, District Magistrate Dr Ashish Chauhan informed that 99 percent of the people in the district have got the first dose and 62 percent of the people have got the second dose of COVID vaccine, by December 15, 100 percent vaccination will be done in the district. The District Magistrate apprised that 27 out of 35 leases have been issued under Forest Rights, works costing more than 5 crores are being done in the district expeditiously. Out of 234 announcements under the Chief Minister’s announcement, 63 have been completed, in the remaining proceedings are in progress. The Chief Minister said that the Chief Minister should complete the announcements soon. Apart from this, 85.69 percent of the total amount has been spent in the district till date under all the four sectors.
Before the meeting, the Chief Minister also listened to the problems of the general public and various organizations etc. under the Janta Milan program in the Vikas Bhawan auditorium and instructed the officers to take necessary action, giving full assurance of their solution.
