Truth and Reality

Kangna tell that if freedom is given in begging, then Padmashree, Virdas tell the difference between two India, then why demand for punishment?

A poem read by India’s famous comedian and actor Vir Das in Washington DC, America has become a new controversy in India.

The title of which is – ‘I come from two India’ which means I come from two India.

An FIR has also been lodged against comedian Vir Das in Mumbai for this poem.

Vir Das is accused of defaming the culture of India by making indecent remarks against the country.

On social media, BJP supporters and many organizations are bent on calling Vir Das a traitor. Strict action is being demanded against them.

Seeing the controversy escalating, Vir Das has apologized through social media, saying that he did not intend to insult the country at all. Rather it was just to show that India is great even after all its issues.

In this case, NDTV journalist Saurabh Gupta has supported Vir Das while targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party.

He tweeted that “I come from an India where… Kangana Ranaut called our freedom ‘beggar’, mocked Gandhi and said ‘non-violence’ will give you ‘begging’ and BJP government keeps giving her state honors but Vir Das makes fun of India’s dual character and we want to prosecute him under anti-terrorism laws.

Significantly, film actress Kangana Ranaut has been making derogatory statements one after the other for the freedom fighters of the country. But he has been awarded the Padma Shri award by the Modi government.

On the other hand, there is a demand to register a case of sedition against a comedian who tries to portray the dual character of India only. Whereas no action has been taken against Kangana Ranaut.
